SageMath

Installation and Usage

The recommended computer algebra system for the course is SageMath. There are several different ways of using the software. Here are a few options:

• Install on your own computer
• Get a free account at CoCalc
• Use an online CoCalc instant worksheet
• Use the online Sage Math Cell

Examples

Here are some example SageMath files that go over some of the features relevant for the course. Note that a *.sage file is just an ordinary text file, which you should be able to read in a standard text editor.
